Well, attached foam to attach metal mounting plate to attach strobe, position and tail light. Almost made a mistake and had an intersection that would cause drag like the previous wing to vert stab intersection. Could have cost me .1 mph!

made mounting plate for jacks black box for the nose gear, course had taked the nut plates to the hanger and the riveting tool there too.

Working on the plane every day

this weekend going to take a little drive

mich to arkansas, 15 hrs driving time per google maps
pick up cozy three
arkansas to minnesota, 11 hrs driving time per google maps
drop off cozy three
minnesota to mi, 11 hrs driving time per google maps, stop driving, should do it in 3.25 days

sorry you guys couldn't stop by for quick lunch...

BTW, the T-system wing jig worked great! I mated the LE cores to the shear web. Wing is now on the work table preparing for spar cap layups. Thanks for the great suggestion!!

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

yep, the drive was loooooooooooong and the stops were exactly 3 hours apart and short. 44 hours of driving in 3.5 days, taking the plane apart and securing it took longer than planned, of course, unloading became difficult as there was no highlow/forklift available, but a local EAA chapter pres came through with a chain fall.

All went well

4 hours today to do just one little thing, get a dam pull wire in the wing for the position/stobe

Finally got one through, tried vacuum and string, and then vacuum and string and compressed air, 1/4 nylaflow, 1/8 nyloseal

went back to the 1/4 nyloseal and FINALLY IT WORKED. on my 2cd and last pull wire my buddy said, not to worry it will work, should not have listened and pull in two pull wires for safety.

lesson learned, i hope

Are you referring to the mounting of the interior components such as arm rests? A picture is worth a thousand words... howsaboutsome??

Last night pulled the wires out the hole, found the Jpole antenna at the top of the vert stab, have to change the foams shape to accommodate it tonight.

Its always something

no posts do not mean no work, just the opposite

making progress on all fronts

engine mount is 1/3 tacked in place, all level readings are 0.0, all measurements are +-1/64, a real PIA to accomplish

steinair just gave me a quote on IP with all harness's, cost what i planned on 10 years ago, big surprise

Prop assembly jig will be here at the end of the week, perfect timing because as soon as it is here i can flip plane over with engine attached and build lower cowl

Turbos are hung, just ordered 2" mild steel mandrel bends to prototype three into one to turbo inlet.

reorganizing shop cause now there are 2 planes, mine and steve parkins, he is helping me - the final push to completion, worth every penny - he be good - a car body man by trade

Engine display is a real problem, i have 29 inputs for pressure, temps, RPM.

MPLafleur is working on a iPad display/recording/alarm system for me
