I've been workin daily to make parts to make parts or to get machines to make parts and i am making NO PARTS.

frustrating

but my band saw motor is fixed and back in, on 67 buckaroos and now i can whip out the stupid doll beds and then get back to pane plane building. well first step is to make a new cutting jig for the mandrel bend that will hold short sections so i don't ruin another piece of silly expensive 321 SS

Thanks to all my buddies that accept my 10:00 calls, i go nuts when i come in from the shop to an empty house and the conversations are very helpful.

Well, no plane news, just plane stupid doll bed news, made 16 leg blanks last evening, ready to add joinery, mortices, and then taper. figure 2 more evenings and the legs will be done. Well, maybe 3 cause i have to drill to epoxy in the finial threaded rods. end in sight, just not on the plane.

Band saw cuttin great, can't wait to use it to make last jig for now on the exhaust, yeah, for now as later i will have to continue the exhaust from the three into one to the turbo and then on out to the rear.

To those of you stuck on the plane, do what i do, force yourself into the shop, just dam do it, you won't regret it, it feels great at the end of the evening to have accomplished some work.

Still makin stupid doll beds for christmas, can't wait to get back to plane building.

Good news, i stay in the work shop every night till 9 or 10 and enjoy it.

Bad news, can't make it to my early projections of 11:30, so will not have 45 hours a week plane building time. Just toooooo tired after 2 to 4 hours to keep going.

That is a good thing

Well, work has been real busy, 7 days, 7 nights. A good thing, a plane money good thing.

But this week we were able to take care of a long standing part correction.

The lead weights on the elevators are now firmly encased in fiberglass on both sides, not just the plans micro to hold them in place.

Another little thing to check off the work list.

Well, I'm working day and night 7 days a week. Have not worked this hard in 10 or 15 years.

Feels good

Multiple clients happy.

BIG deadlines being met.

Can't wait to get onto the plane but it is great to have business running well.

Deadlines met, just plane workin and workin on the plane.

Feels good, little stuff is getting done, yesterday reset the hinges in IP cover that was binding.

Started forming lip for canopy to sit in.

need to alodine the bracket for the pitch trim tonight.

brackets set on longeron for canopy latch closing bolt reinforcement.

work list is looking manageable, buddy fabed the brackets for holding IM in place and welded on attach points.

verified that the spark plug converters i bought will work.

adding to my AS&S order almost daily to get all the little things all of the little things i am working on done.

stupid high temp 1/4 28 locking nuts, a little more fiberfrax, may have enough but may need 2 feet so i bought 3 feet.

Now I am going to order a 4' x 10' 26 gauge mill finish sheet of 304 SS for the firewall and the multitude of header and turbo and flight control shielding that is at hand

can't wait for the autopilot servos to arrive, probably next week

Tonight channel for canopy lip

well, put many hours in this weekend, did not get as much done as wished, never do, but i made progress.

glass the IP cover canopy lip, today dug out the foam for a flox edge. stood IP cover on end and fill 1/3 of edge with flox. let gravity help me, another 1/3 tomorrow evening.

made and fit the autopilot pitch trim servo mounting base and customized last weeks work on the metal attach point.

reamed out 6/32 nut plates with a tap. it was just plane too hard to thread into them, works better now.

knew what to do today and yesterday and the day before, no figuring out to do, much easier to work that way

well, last night i went to the hangar and checked the flox edge, perrrrrrfect and reset the IP cover and did the next third, tonight the last third.

Finally figured out why I'm having trouble putting in the hours on the plane.

For 20 years i have gone in my shop from 7 to 10 p.m. mon, tues, Wed, friday and 10 to 4 or 5 on Sat and Sun.

Now i'm having a hard time motivating. So simple I don't know why i did not see it sooner. EVERYTHING I made was for my wife, for US. None of it was for me.

Now it is just me.

The grieving process, like it or not continues. I'm doing well, just need a kick in the arse and there is no one to kick - any volunteers?
